Moving forward in the field of education, the government of Andhra has introduced an easy method of payment of scholarship to the students who are in need of financial help. The types of scholarship include RTF which is the paying off full fees for the students who are studying their post matric from a recognized university or board and MTF, which is the maintenance charge. The RTF is paid twice in the year, while MTF is paid monthly to the student.
The scholarship amount differs according to the courses. The different courses have been divided into 4 different groups according to which the amount varies.  These are as follows:
  1. ·         Group 1- Courses include Medical, Engineering, MCA, MBA, CPL. The students living in the hostel gets 962 rupees, student living in managed hostel gets 442 and day scholars get 429 rupees.
  2. ·         Group 2- Courses include PG, Ph.D., M Phil, CA, GNM. Hostel students get 682 rupees while the students in managed hostel and day scholars get 442 and 429 rupees respectively.
  3. ·         Group 3- Courses include all degree courses and the hostel students get 520 rupees while a student in managed hostel gets 325 and day scholars get 240 rupees.
  4. ·         Group 4- Courses include Polytechnic, ITI, Intermediate and vocational. The students in the hostel get 520 while the SMH gets 325 and day scholar gets 182 rupees.

To be able to apply for the scholarship one has to be clear from the eligibility criteria. The students who are not eligible to apply for the scholarship include:
·         Student who are not from any minority or backward class.
·         Students whose parent’s annual income is more than 2 lakhs.
·         Students who are already obtaining stipend more than the scholarship amount.

Andhra Pradesh Epass Scholarship application process


The applicants must apply for the scholarship within one month of the date of admission with bonafide certificate attested by the principal and with a physical verification.
With the ePass scholarship application the applicant is required to submit the documents required for the application. The documents are required to be scanned and uploaded with the online application form. Once the submission is done, the applicants can get their application number which can be used for the status track of the application form.

The documents required to submit along with the application include:

  1. ·         Caste certificates from eseva.
  2. ·         Income certificates from mee seva.
  3. ·         Aadhaar card
  4. ·         CET details, if any.
  5. ·         Passport size photo
  6. ·         Bank account details
  7. ·         Study certificates and nativity certificate.
Many applicants might make mistakes while filling up the scholarship application form. They need not worry as there is a correction process available. Once all the applications are collected throughout the state, there appears an ePass edit option through which the correction work can be done. But through this, only minor correction can be done. For major correction, the applicant needs to visit the district welfare office with the proof.
After finishing all the process the applicants need to regularly check their application status by visiting http://apepass.cgg.gov.in/. Once verified, the amount is deposited in applicants account.
